Our job is to support first responders, veterans, and their families as they navigate the emotional and psychological impact of traumatic events and crisis situations. Too often, those who serve others overlook their own mental and emotional well‑being. We are here to provide a safe, confidential place to talk, process, and heal.
We are committed to offering the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and care to our nation’s heroes. Our services include local peer support groups, one‑on‑one sessions, referrals for both routine and emergency mental health services, on‑scene deployment of Emergency Chaplain Response Teams, and suicide awareness and prevention education.
Our non-denominational, faith-based Chaplains are trained to respond wherever they are needed—whether at monthly station meetings, on emergency scenes, or during moments of crisis and loss. Each Chaplain brings real‑world experience as a current or retired Firefighter, Law Enforcement Officer, EMS professional, 911 Dispatcher, Clergy member, or Military veteran. We understand the unique pressures of your work because we have lived it ourselves.
Whether you need a Chaplain to visit your department, support your team after a difficult call, pray with you at a special event, assist in honoring a fallen member, respond to a critical incident, provide suicide awareness training, or simply be a compassionate presence—we are here for you.
Bearded Chaplain Ministries, LLC is the mission field for Shields Under Fire, Inc and is also the governing body for the training, development, and ordination of our chaplains. Our chaplains operate as non-denominational, faith-based Christians under the authority of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, as defined in the Great Commissioning of His disciples found in Matthew 28:16-20 of the Holy Bible, KJV.
